KCET 2022 KEA Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria are the main requirement of the candidates to fill up the Karnataka CET KCET online application form. Not all candidates can participate in the KCET 2022 procedure. Let’s look at the KCET 2022 eligibility criteria set by the KCET.

  • Nationality: Must be an Indian

  • Age Limit: There is no such age limit.

  • Qualifying Exam: 2nd PUC / 12th Std / OR Equivalent Exam

  • The qualifying Subjects: Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science as optional subjects with English as one of the study languages.

  • Qualifying Marks: 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer. (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)

KCET Application Form 2022

  • The Examination authority will release the application form through online mode only. And have to fill in their personal and educational details in the application form.

  • KCET Application Form will be available from them soon. The application form filling facility will issue until the 1st week of March 2022.

  • After completing all the required details, students will get a user Id and password to their mobile number and a valid Email Id.

  • Students also have to upload the scanned images of photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression in JPG/JPEG format.

  • The authority will also provide the KCET Correction in the application form.

  • The KCET application form will consider completed only after the payment of the fee.

KCET Application Fee 2022

Students can submit the KCET application fee through both (online & offline) modes. Candidates residing outside of India have to provide the payment through DD drawn in favour of Executive Director, Karnataka Examination Authority, payable at Bangalore. The demand draft should send to KEA(Karnataka Examination Authority) address by mentioning the application number.

  • GM, 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B Students of Karnataka origin: Rs. 500/-

  • SC/ST Category-1 & female of Karnataka candidates only: Rs.250/-

  • Aspirant residing outside the state of Karnataka: Rs.750/-

  • Aspirant residing outside India: Rs. 5, 000/-

KCET 2022 Exam pattern

  • Mode of exam: The KCET exam will conduct through offline (OMR) mode.

  • Duration of exam: For each subject paper, 80 minutes will give.

  • Maximum marks: Each Subject paper will be 60 marks(Total 180 marks)

  • Type of questions: Multiple choice questions will ask in the exam.

KCET Syllabus 2022

The KCET Syllabus will be set by the KEA only. The question papers of the KCET are based on the first and second PUC syllabus Specified by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka. Aspirants must study their physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, or any other relevant subject to the applied course.

How to Check the KCET Admit Card 2022?

  • KCET Admit card can download by the candidates on the official website. The KCET Admit Card will be available only through online mode.

  • Students without having an admit card cannot enter the exam hall. So, it is required to carry the admit card on exam day. Applicants must take the government Id proof on the exam day and keep their KCET admit card until college/institution admission. (Download KCET Admit Card Check here)

Details About KCET Answer Key - 2022

  • After completing the KCET exam, the provisional answer key will be published by KEA on its official website. Students can get it through online mode only and tally their answers with the published answer key.

  • Aspirants can submit the objections, if any, to the Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations(KEA) Authority, Bangalore, on or before the Specified date either in person or only through speed post/email with all supporting documents.

  • The correct answer key will be announced only after the evaluation of the published provisional answer key. The KEA will notify the candidates.

KCET 2022 Result

  • The KCET 2022 result will release after the publishing of the correct answer key through online mode.

  • Based on the Students' performance in the CET/NEET/NATA and the qualifying exam, the merit/rank list will prepare and released by the KEA.

  • Eligible students will consider for allotment of seats in the order of their merit/rank and based on the options they have submitted.

  • If any Discrepancy in the KCET result, candidates can submit their request for changing to the KEA through email.

KCET Counselling Process 2022

  • KCET counselling will Conduct through online mode. At the time of KCET counselling, the verification of documents will do in at least 15 helpline centres across the state after the declaration of results/publication of the merit list.

  • In the Counseling process, Verification of documents and issue of verification slip, candidates will be allowed to enter the options. They can enter any number of options for their choice done.

  • Candidates will allot the seat based on the availability of seats in the participating institutions/ universities. Students have to report to the allotted college after getting the allotment letter along with the original documents.

1. What is the use of the KCET exam?

Karnataka Common Entrance Exam (KCET) is an offline Engineering, Technology, BPharma, DPharma, Agriculture (Farm Science), and Veterinary courses admitted to the various educational institutions in Karnataka State.

2. Can KCET be repeated?

There is no mention of an attempt limitation on the Official KCET website, but one may take the KCET Exam once a year and the age limit should be below 21 or 24 years.

3. What is passing marks in KCET?

Total marks: The official language exam will be held in offline mode for 50 marks. Duration: The time provided for completing the language test in Kannada is 1 hour. The minimum passing marks are 12 marks for the Kannada language exam.

4. Is Ncert enough for KCET?

Yes, you can easily score good marks in KCET if you follow NCERT, but with the basic concepts, you should be thorough because NCERT books have deep concepts in every line. For KCET ranking, 50% of your board marks out of Physics + Chemistry + Maths is considered, i.e If you have scored 70+60+80 = 210/300 i.e 70%, then your 50% of board marks will be 70/2 =35%, Balance 50% is taken from your KCET marks of physics, chemistry and maths and then added with this 35%
