GCET Eligibility Criteria-2022

Candidates applying for admission to the courses offered in the state through GCET will have to complete the following eligibility conditions.

Nationality:

  • Applicants should be Indian National.

  • Non-resident Indians holding Indian passport may also apply for seats reserved under the NRI category.

  • Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) /Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders are also considered to qualify for admissions to seats under NRI Category.

  • Foreign Nationals must apply to Govt. of India.

GCET Score - 2022

  • Aspiring candidates must have secured a valid score in GCET conducted for the year of admission. GCET score of the previous years is not considered valid.

  • For Architecture, the applicant must have appeared and obtained a valid score at NATA conducted by the Council of Architecture.

Qualifying Exam

  • Applicants should have completed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Exam of the Goa Board and examination Performed by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, or any other examination equivalent to the H.S.S.C.examination of Goa Board.

  • They must also have required the minimum percentage of marks in the specific subjects.

First Year B.E. Program

  • Applicants should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Class 12)) examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education/equivalent examination with English, Physics, and Maths as compulsory subjects with one of the topics like Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology, and obtained not less than 45 percentile marks in the aggregate of subjects of Physics & Mathematics with one of the following subjects Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology. (40% for the aspirants belonging to S.C., S.T., and OBC only).

  • Aspirants should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Class 12) examination of the Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education/equivalent examination with Maths as one of the subjects and obtained at least 50 percentile marks in aggregate (45% aggregate marks for aspirants belonging to SC/ST/OBC).

  • Candidates have a 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Governments with 50 per cent aggregate marks.

  • Students have International Baccalaureate Diploma, after ten years of schooling, with not less than 50 percentile marks in aggregate with Maths as a compulsory subject of examination.

Kashmiri Migrants only in Engineering Courses

Candidates should have completed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Class 12) examination/equivalent exam with English, Physics, and Maths as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science/Biology and secured not less than 45% marks in the disciplines of Physics & Mathematics with one of the following subjects like Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology.

Diploma/BSc Degree holder

  • Aspirants who have passed Diploma in Engineering /B.Sc. Degree with Mathematics as a subject at Class 12, with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of aspirants belonging to SC/ST/OBC ), were eligible for admission to First Year of Engineering Courses, subject to vacancies in the First year, after vacancies at Lateral Entry into Direct Second Year are exhausted.

  • The merit list of such candidates is prepared based on aggregate marks scored at the qualifying exam.

GCET Admission Process- 2022

DTE (Directorate of Technical Education)Goa will release a notification for filling up the GCET 2022 application forms. Candidates seeking admission in colleges and institutions of Goa can appear for GCET. Below is the step-by-step detail which a candidate will go through during the admission process for the Goa CET 2022 Exam.

  • GCET Exam 2022 exam registration/ filling an online application form- Candidate can access the application form from the official website of DTE Goa.

  • GCET Admit Card 2021 release- Exam authorities will release the admit cards to the candidates once the application process is complete.

  • Download GCET Question paper and answer key release- Preparing well for the exam are significant. For that, a candidate must go through the previous year’s question papers and answer keys for reference.

  • GCET Exam 2022 exam entrance test- Goa CET will be held on 5th & 6th May.

  • GCET Exam 2022 result announcement- Exam authorities will announce the results in the last week of May.
