New Update on 02.08.2022: GATE 2023 - The GATE exam date for 2023 has been declared by IIT Kanpur. Beginning on August 30, registration for GATE 2023 will be available online. is the official GATE 2023 website. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023 will be administered for 29 papers on February 4, 5, 11, and 12. On July 27, the official GATE 2023 announcement was released by the Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Kanpur. The deadline to register for GATE 2023 is September 30.

Candidates who wish to apply for admission to M.Tech, other PG programs, or PSU recruitment through GATE must do so as soon as possible. Candidates must first confirm that they are eligible to take the GATE exam. candidates who have already submitted their applications.

Academic Qualification

Candidates must have passed graduation in engineering/technology or Master’s degree in any relevant science subject.

Candidates in pre-final or final year of their qualifying degree also eligible to appear for GATE 2023

Candidates who have obtained/are pursuing their qualifying degree from countries other than India: Must be currently in the 3rd or higher years or completed their Bachelor’s degree (duration: at least 3 years) in Engineering / Technology / Science / Arts / Commerce.

How to Register for GATE Exam 2023?

Students who are willing to attempt GATE Exam 2023 examinations can easily apply and register through online mode. The registration should be done on the dates that are announced for this purpose. Students will have to provide a few necessary details in the application form for completing the registration for GATE Exam 2023. Follow the below steps to easily register for the GATE 2023 exams.

  • Visit the officially announced link for registering for GATE Exam 2023 exams.

  • Students will have to login and fill the form through GATE Online Application Processing System.

  • Provide email address, mobile number and create password to create login.

  • Once login is created, students can fill and submit the application for GATE Exam 2022.

  • Students will be asked for their personal and educational details in the GATE 2023 application form.

  • Students should upload scanned copy of signature and photograph in JPEG format.

  • The application form must be checked thoroughly and then submitted.

GATE Syllabus 2023

IIT Kharagpur has released the syllabus for GATE 2023 in online mode. The GATE syllabus 2022 comprises subjects and topics that candidates will have to study to prepare for the exam. The GATE 2023 syllabus of each paper is different, thus, candidates will have to check according to the discipline that they select. Candidates may note that the General Aptitude section has to be prepared by all as it is compulsory for every GATE 2023 paper.

GATE Mock Test 2023

IIT Kharagpur shall release the mock test of GATE 2023 on the official website. Through the mock test of GATE, the candidates will get familiar with the GATE exam pattern 2023. It is a simulation of the real exam and will help candidates in preparing for the upcoming examination. Authorities release separate mock tests for all the papers conducted by them. GATE 2023 mock test will be 3 hours long and will consist of objective type questions.

GATE Question Papers

The authorities shall release the GATE 2023 question paper online on the official after the exam is concluded. However, various coaching institutes will be releasing unofficial GATE question papers on the exam day itself. Candidates appearing for GATE 2023 should refer to the previous year question papers to understand the style of questions asked in the examination. 1. Are there any changes in GATE 2023 Eligibility Criteria?

Yes. The authorities have introduced a lot of changes in GATE 2023 eligibility criteria. Now the candidates who are in the 3rdyear of their graduation can also apply for the exam. Along with that candidates can sit for a maximum of 2 exams. Check GATE Eligibility Criteria.

2. Is there any upper age limit for GATE 2023?  

No. There is no age limit for appearing in GATE 2023.

3. Can a student with backlogs in qualifying exam appear in GATE 2023?

For the final semesters (any) of your B.Tech/ graduation, candidates with backlogs can apply for GATE 2023 using the mark sheet. However, by the time admissions begin at M.Tech, you will have to clear your backlog.
